What Is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card, or TDAC, is Thailand’s mandatory electronic arrival registration for foreign travelers.

The TDAC replaces the traditional paper arrival card known as the TM6 (To Mo 6). It’s used to provide immigration authorities with passport, travel, accommodation, and health information before entry.

The TDAC system became mandatory on May 1, 2025. Foreign nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea generally need to complete it before arrival.

The TDAC is not a Thailand visa

The TDAC does not give you permission to travel to Thailand in place of a visa.

It’s an immigration arrival registration that applies separately from Thailand’s visa rules. This means you may need a TDAC whether you enter:

With a tourist visa
With a business or non-immigrant visa
With a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)
Under a visa-exemption arrangement
With another eligible long-term visa or immigration status

Who Needs to Apply for the TDAC to Enter Thailand?

Almost **all non-Thai nationals **entering Thailand must submit a TDAC before going through immigration.

Thai nationals
Travelers transiting or transferring without passing through Thai immigration
